Festivallinks
In the spring of 2017, Michael Gieler, viola player for the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and initiator of the International Bach Festival at Gran Canaria, approached us with an idea we loved: assemble five indie classical musical festivals to work together to build a common audience and promote classical music in Europe.
TrueMotion co-developed the idea into Festivallinks, a project where the festivals—based in Finland, Bulgaria, The Netherlands, Gran Canaria and Corsica—develop and exchange best practices in artistic and organisational innovation. In 2018, the project was awarded €200,000 in funding from the Creative Europe Programme – Culture. A second grant for the continuation of the project has been awarded in 2022.
