Music Moves Europe Awards

After organising the European Border Breakers Awards (EBBA) for several years, in 2019 ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag) wanted to come up with a new plan for the EU Music Prize, which is awarded yearly to the most promising pop acts in Europe.

We were asked to coordinate the European application process and develop the project plan. Commissioned by project leader ESNS, we helped the European consortium— which includes Reeperbahn Festival, Yourope, the EBU, IMPALA, the IMMF, Liveurope, LiveDMA, major European music export offices, and Digital Music Europe—set up the new prize.

The result?

The Music Moves Europe Awards, a collaborative effort of the biggest stakeholders in the European music industry to celebrate new and upcoming artists from Europe. With TrueMotion’s services, the consortium ensured EU support with a grant of €1.5 million in 2019 to roll out the awards, and a continuation grant of €1.8 million in 2021.
