TrueMotion in summer mode: EU Funding projects and festivals galore!

Summer’s here, and we all know what that means: music festivals!

If you live in Europe, it’s hard to know which tickets to book first. From the pop kings and queens headlining Primavera Sound in Spain to the EDM blowout that’s Sea Dance in Montenegro, festival-goers are truly spoilt for choice. We are particularly pleased to note that Primavera have confirmed that over half of the 226 participating [music] acts are women. But before you head out to stock up on glow sticks, sunglasses and the perfect Wellington boot/jean short combo, we have some exciting news to share.

Two fantastic European projects can keep making an impact in the cultural and creative sector thanks to another round of EU funding that TrueMotion helped secure.

Connecting Emerging Literary Artists (CELA)

Back in 2016, TrueMotion not only helped set up the CELA project design, we also secured a grant worth €550,000 over 2 years from the Creative Europe – Cultural Cooperation programme. We’re thrilled that the CELA project can keep going with its mission to reinvigorate the European literary landscape with a talent development programme which ensures a culturally diverse offering to European audiences.

Keychange

We’ve already mentioned Keychange, a wonderful initiative that empowers women to transform the future of music and encourages festivals to achieve a 50:50 gender balance by 2022. The lead partner recently announced that it’s extending the global and groundbreaking Keychange 50/50 festival pledge to include conservatoires, orchestras, broadcasters, concert halls, agents, labels and any music organisations seeking to achieve a better gender balance in the industry”.

TrueMotion is very pleased to confirm that Keychange will now run for four more years, aided by €1.4M of new funding from Creative Europe.

Right, that’s it from us.

Enjoy the summer, everyone, and don’t get too sunburnt!
