Poppy Spowage
Poppy is a creative producer, researcher, and development consultant working at the intersection of the creative industries, social justice, and academia. With a bold vision, strong values, and attention to detail, Poppy dreams up ambitious cultural impact projects and brings them to life.
With over 15 years’ experience bringing together creatives, investors, and change-makers, Poppy has produced internationally acclaimed festivals, creative programmes, and artist residency projects, working across art forms and with diverse communities in Asia, East Africa, Latin America, and Europe.
Alongside her work with TrueMotion — where she focuses on project development and EU application writing — Poppy runs MeshWorks and is a Research and Development Associate at People’s Palace Projects, an arts and research centre based at Queen Mary University of London. Poppy is driven by values rooted in care, connection, and collaboration and is committed to developing responsive and ethical models of leadership and cultural production.
Poppy holds a Masters in Theatre and Performance Studies; in 2020, she completed her practice-based PhD at Royal Holloway, University of London.
